ABOUT ME
EMILY BEESON or “Bee” is a (largely) self-taught painter who’s fascinated with color, pattern repetition and the great Mother of all inspiration: Nature. Most inspired by time spent outdoors on both land & sea and at local farmers' markets where produce & flowers are abundant, Bee has been drawing on friends' jeans and paper cocktail napkins for as long as she can remember.
Post-college and Watson fellowship, Emily spent seven years in San Francisco working for a couple of different tech start up's and enjoying long hikes on the weekends. Always a true 'country girl' at heart due to regular visits to her grandparents' dairy farm in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, she decided to leave the city in 2017 to become an organic flower farmer & floral designer at Front Porch Farm in Sonoma County, California. Feeling called even further west, she landed on the Big Island of Hawaii in the fall of 2019. She works as a freelance landscape-gardener on island and is devoted to painting the myriad of wondrous tropical fruits & flowers that abound. ` Thanks for visiting EB Art and Aloha! |
